If professional photos are required then these will need to be photographed at the studio, and will usually be quickly done at the start of the appointment. We ask then that you hold and entertain your baby while we cast the feet or hands to make the process as quick and smooth as it can be. The casting process can be messy so please don't come in your Sunday best( we will provide you with an apron and cover for your lap). Please bring along their favorite toys and a bottle to distract them.

casting and impressions - what to expect

The casting and impression process is quick and painless, it usually takes only a couple of minutes per foot or hand. We understand that baby's will be baby's, so no need to worry! We have all the patience and toys to hopefully get them to smile for the camera and hold still for the casting. If the child wont settle then we can arrange an alternative appointment at no extra cost.

All moulds & Impressions will be cast in the same day, this allows us to contact you within 24hrs to confirm we have usable casts. Wiggling fingers & toes can be an issue and, as we ensure quality is key, will be in touch if we need to arrange a second casting appointment at no additional cost. Depending on the size of the cast, it will take 2-4 weeks to complete the finished product. Please keep this in mind if you are ordering a gift for a certain date.
